Light Designer

Blake is nearing the completion of his studies at Kansas State University. While pursuing a BA in Theatre, a BM in Music Composition, and a minor in French, he discovered a passion for designing and writing. As a way of combining his interests in music and theatre, he quickly began designing sound for numerous collegiate productions. Recently, he broadened his studies to also include lighting design and has since designed lights for numerous collegiate productions. This is his first professional credit as a lighting designer. As a writer, Blake has won the Kennedy Center American Collegiate Theatre Festival Region V National New Play Award for his musical Inn-Dependent and was subsequently nominated for an undergraduate research award. This summer, before designing for Crane River, Blake traveled to Paris, France to study abroad and begin a research project in new play development. He is beyond excited to be working with Crane River Theater this summer!
