Fran graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1962, where he played Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls, Mikado in The Mikado and Finian in Finian’s Rainbow. While teaching vocal music at Kearney High School (1964-1996) he directed many musicals including Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma, Carousel, My Fair Lady and The King and I. Several of Crane River’s personnel (Steve Barth, Brian Botsford, Kami Graves, etc.) are among his former students whom he is thrilled to be joining for this production! His wife, Jan, is undoubtedly overjoyed to have him out of the house.
