Anita “Jo” Lenhart is so pleased to be returning to Crane River Theatre. Jo began her professional acting career at the age of 15 with Jon Jory’s Young Actor’s Company with Actors Theatre of Louisville and she never looked back! Jo resides in Memphis, TN, but enjoys traveling around the country to perform in a variety of venues, including Thingamajig Theatre in Colorado, The Barter Theatre in Virginia, The Neil Simon Festival in Utah, The Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, Actors Theatre of Louisville, New Moon Theatre and Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, and Lamplighter’s Music Theatre in San Francisco. Favorite roles include “Hannah” in The Spitfire Grill, and both “Julius Caesar” and “Lear” in Oklahoma Shakespeare Festival’s contemporary versions of these Shakespearean classics; “Amanda” in The Glass Menagerie, “Mother Superior” in Sister Act; “Fraulein Schneider” “in Cabaret; “Baby Jane” in Jerry Springer the Opera;” Queen Margaret” in Richard III and “Charlotte” in A Little Night Music. Jo has also sung with Opera Memphis, The Memphis Symphony, and has sung in multiple genres, appearing with big bands as well as Top 40 cover bands. A voice and yoga teacher, Jo is a certified somatic trainer in Kinesensics © with the internationally recognized Lessac Training and Research Institute.
