Joe is a native of Kearney, Nebraska, where he nurtured his love for the arts at Kearney High School. He holds a B.M. in Musical Theater from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and an MFA in Acting from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. During his time in graduate school, Joe was an adjunct professor at the University of Southern Florida Sarasota-Manatee where he taught Introduction to Theater courses to aspiring theater students.  Joe lived in New York City from 2016-2020 performing professionally all over the world with Norwegian Creative Studios on the Regent Seven Seas Voyager and Navigator, and the Oceania Regatta, as well as performing regionally with acclaimed theaters such as Portland Center Stage, Asolo Repertory Theater, and Maples Repertory Theater to name a few. Joe is currently an active member of Actors’ Equity Association and was recently represented by Boals, Winnett, and Associates in New York City. Over the past few years, in between performing professionally, Joe has also assisted with casting for Crane River Theater, attending professional theater auditions across the country. Joe loves being involved in the Kearney community and believes in nurturing and promoting the arts in small communities. Kearney audiences might remember him most recently in Songs from the Movies, Elf the Musical, Oklahoma! and The Wizard of Oz.
