A native of Warren, Ohio, Roger and his wife, Cecelia, experienced Tucson, Arizona as he completed his graduate degrees in History at the University of Arizona. They then spent a rewarding and bizarre year in Las Vegas as he taught at UNLV, before moving to Kearney to join the faculty at Kearney State College/UNK in 1986. Thirty-eight years later, he is still professing US and Latin American history and delighting in the students and his colleagues. Roger has finally gotten around to taking guitar lessons on his 1968 guitar and enjoys the challenges of his fantasy football league where his team the “Kearney Krunchers” are unrivaled in their command of last place. He enjoys gardening, reading, writing, and beating his wife at Scrabble and Yahtzee, and they both enjoy the company of their wonderful calico cat, Miranda. Roger has been fortunate to have cobbled together a series of appearances in plays for KCT including Radium Girls, Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Clause, Witness for the Prosecution, and Miracle on 34th Street. He is excited to be in his first Crane River production.
