A newcomer to Crane River Theater, Alan is from Wilcox, Nebraska. During his time in school, he participated in a number of sports as well as Duet Acting, Speech competitions, and the Junior and Senior class plays. He attended UNL and earned a B.S. in Natural Resource Management with a Wildlife Management option. He worked in construction and for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission prior to his 40+ year career working in a variety of positions for the City of Kearney Park and Recreation Department. While employed there, he earned a Masters of Public Administration degree from UNO. During that time, he appeared in a number of productions with Kearney Community Theatre, and worked backstage with props and lighting. He avidly enjoys hunting and fishing, including being a Hunter Education Instructor and a Youth Fishing Instruction for Nebraska Game and Parks. His other hobbies and passions include traveling, biking, reading, fly tying, watching soccer, and refereeing high school soccer.
