This classic thriller comes to life on stage at the historic World Theatre! Misery follows successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon, who is rescued from a car crash by his “number one fan,” Annie Wilkes, and wakes up captive in her secluded home. While Paul is recovering, Annie reads his latest book and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. Annie forces Paul to write a new Misery novel, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere. Based on the Stephen King novel and cult classic film starring James Caan and Kathy Bates, this show is the perfect way to dive into the spooky season!

Misery will be performed at the World Theatre, located at 2318 Central Avenue, Kearney, NE 68847. Parking is available on downtown streets, or in the parking lot on 23rd Street between Avenue A and Central Avenue.
The lobby opens one hour prior to the performance, and the house opens 30 minutes before the performance.
We recommend arriving early to allow time for parking, ticket scanning, and finding your seats.
Misery runs approximately 2 hours, including one intermission.
The World Theatre concession booth will be open before the show and during intermission. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
Misery is recommended for ages 12 and up.
