Akira Watanabe is a senior from Japan, majoring in Musical Theatre at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Akira has been involved in many dance concerts and tours, a few Kearney Community Theatre shows, the student-directed One Act, and she owns her own dance group. Last summer, she was a cast member in the Crane River Theater productions of Tarzan and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Most recently, she played Maxine in the UNK production How I Became A Pirate. Akira is so glad to be a part of Crane River Theater again this season, and she hopes to have fun with all audiences.
