A native Nebraskan, Steve was born in Lincoln and lived in Ashland, Omaha, and Kearney before his family moved to the country outside of Riverdale. He attended junior high and high school in Amherst. In elementary school, Steve found a deep passion for music. He participated in junior high and high school band and choir, and was involved in several honor choirs and honor bands, including UNK Honor Choir and Masonic All-Star Marching Band. During high school, Steve discovered a knack for acting. He participated in high school one-act play production for two years. Both years, he was cast as the male lead. His senior year, he was awarded outstanding actor for his performance at the conference competition. Earlier this year, Steve performed for the community in his church’s biannual interpretation of The Last Supper. Steve graduated form high school in 2018, and plans to study music and theater at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
