Ensemble / Marie Understudy

Amariah (Miss Mari) Gesinski grew up as a native of North Platte. She and husband, Josh, homeschool two boys, Artie (6) and Darcy (4) and also welcomed Baby Regina who just joined the crew in February! Amariah founded the ballet program at The Stage in 2010 (currently Legacy Studios), then opened Encore Performing Arts Studio in Kearney in 2016 and Encore Gothenburg 2019. She currently serves as the owner and creative director, and teaches several of the dance, theater, piano, and voice classes at Encore. Amariah graduated with her associate of the arts with an emphasis in vocal performance and theater from mid-plains community college. Her favorite performance credits include the title role in Mary Poppins (North Platte Playhouse), Christine in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (NPP), Morticia in The Addams Family (Minden Opera House), and Amos Collway in Big Fish (Kearney Community Theater). Her credits with Crane River Theater include Annie (Mrs. Greer) and choreographer for Elf the Musical and Suessical the Musical Jr. She is so happy to be back on the stage and is grateful to Josh for his amazing dedication to the family during this busy season with babies, home, and studio.
