Bunsen

Art was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, and lived most of his life without performing on stage. After retirement, he joined a group of guitar players for a weekly Tuesday afternoon jam session, which led to an invitation to audition for a part in Kearney Community Theatre’s 2016 production of A Child’s Christmas in Wales. He was give the part of Uncle Gwyn, where Art played guitar and sang a solo in the final act. Bitten only mildly by the acting bug, he said “I’m going to do that again, but not real soon.” Art is a regular performer for Kearney Live Music, performing solo and small group shows at various venues in the area. He is an active volunteer in the Kearney community and is perpetually busy. He likes to travel with his wife, Janie, and when not on the road or volunteering somewhere, he like sot fish and read, occasionally at the same time. Lastly, at age 8, Art sold newspapers on a street corner in downtown Lincoln, so he is a bona fide “Newsie”.
