Ashley grew up in Kearney and graduated from University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2008 with a Bachelors of Arts in Education. Currently, she is in her 18th year of teaching and is the Choral and Instrumental Director for Holdrege High School. Ashley directs the High School Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Show Choirs, Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band and various small ensembles. In addition, she is also the High School Musical and Spring Play Director, and serves as the Holdrege Education Association President.
Outside of the classroom, Ashley is a frequent performer and Musical Director for Crane River Theater in Kearney. She has served as MD for numerous shows including: Suessical, Shrek, The Last 5 Years, The Wizard of Oz, Tarzan, Grease, Elf, Sister Act, The Little Mermaid, and Mamma Mia. Some of her recent performance credits include: Mrs. Mayor in Seussical, Kala in Tarzan, Glinda in The Wizard of Oz and Rosie in Mamma Mia. She is thrilled to be returning to the stage for Footloose!
Ashley and her husband, Travis, are both active members of the Holdrege Fire Department and Ashley is also an EMS Instructor for Central Community College. Together they live in Holdrege with their 6 rescue pets: Luke, Lenny, Layla, Sabrina, Prince and Duke.
