Darin received his MFA in Scenic Design from the University of South Dakota. He came to UNK six years ago to fill the Technical Director position. This year in addition to heading up the technical theatre program, he will be filling the role of Scenic Designer as well. Darin’s recent design credits include Rabbit Hole (UNK), Mauritius (Nebraska Repertory Theatre), and All Shook Up (Black Hills Playhouse). Previously, Darin worked as an Assistant Designer at the Omaha Community Playhouse where he designed Member of the Wedding and Black Comedy. He also served as the Technical Director for the Lincoln Community Playhouse, where he built over 27 productions and designed scenery for six productions, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Amadeus. Darin also spent seven years working in scene shops in Hollywood where he built scenery for CNN, TBS, Lifetime, Fox, the State of California and Disneyland.
