Darla is pleased to join the cast of Cinderella as Madame. She relocated to Kearney three years ago to work for the University of Nebraska Foundation, after raising her daughter in Scottsbluff, NE. While in western Nebraska, she enjoyed the opportunity to work for Theatre West Summer Repertory in several productions including roles as Miss Hannigan in Annie, Dolly in Annie Get Your Gun, Sister Hubert in Meshuggah-Nuns, and Delores the Waitress in Working. She also appeared in the title role of West Nebraska Art Center’s production of Always, Patsy Cline. She will be joining this fall’s class of Leadership Kearney and can also be found singing at St. James Catholic Church. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, Rachael who also lives in Kearney, as well as her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Megan Schmidt, and their three busy bees, Sawyer (11), JD (10), and Burke (7).
