Emily and her family recently moved to Kearney this year. Emily has a strong love for the fine arts; she was an active member of the Grand Island Little Theatre for nine years before moving to Kearney. She was onstage in numerous shows including, Into the Woods (Cinderella), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Little Women (Jo), and Spamalot (Lady of the Lake). She also directed several shows including GILT’s production of See How They Run, Grand Island Central Catholic’s productions of Cinderella and James and the Giant Peach, and several of the Catherine Foskett Children’s Theatre productions. She earned her BAE in K-12 Music Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and her MAE in Music Education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Emily is a music teacher at Northeast Elementary in Kearney. When she’s not making music, she enjoys spending time with her husband Brent and son, Jaxon.
