
Jimmy Rustenhaven is from Olive Branch, MS and is very thrilled to be joining Crane River Theater for their summer lineup! He has played “Curly” in Oklahoma! and “Father” in Ragtime at Mississippi State University where he studied Music Education in voice. After college, he played notable roles at Panola Playhouse in Sardis, MS such as “Seymour” in Little Shop of Horrors, “Shrek” in Shrek the Musical, and “Tarzan” in Disney’s Tarzan the Musical. He then started branching out to TN theatre and made his Memphis debut as “The Cowardly Lion” in The Wizard of Oz and “Willy Wonka” in the regional premiere of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Playhouse on the Square. He came back to MS to do Oklahoma! again where he reprised his role as “Curly” and then played “Frederick Frankenstein” in Young Frankenstein. His most recent productions were in TN where he played “The Beast/Prince” in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at Theatre Memphis and “Robbie Hart” in The Wedding Singer at the Bartlett Performing Arts Center. Along with theatre, he enjoys piano, roller blading, biking, swimming, and many outdoor activities. He is so happy and blessed to be a part of this new theater company and cannot wait for what the future holds next!
