Judi joined the Kearney Area Community Foundation in January 2001 as the CEO/President of the organization. She is a native of Kansas, but has lived in Kearney since 1989. With a background in management, marketing and communications, she had worked for a couple of corporations and an advertising agency before moving into the nonprofit world. She has served on numerous boards in Kearney and loves volunteering in her free time, recently serving as a mentor for a confirmation class, local storyteller for the local festival and a coordinator for exchange students coming to Kearney through Rotary. While attending Meade (Kansas) High School, Judi was Maria in The Sound of Music and Mrs. Malloy in Hello Dolly. In college, she was cast as one of the daughters in The Pirates of Penzance. Judi has a B.A. from Kansas State University in Journalism and Mass Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations. She and her husband, Terry, live in Kearney and have three grown children, and proud parents of Remy, a mini Goldendoodle, playing “Sandy” in Annie this summer.
