Born and raised in High Point, NC, Lucas was originally an Engineering student at East Carolina University until he found a passion for theatre after volunteering in the scene shop for their run of Sweeney Todd. Since then, he has begun studying for a BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in scenic construction, along with a minor in Mechanical Design. Post graduation, he plans to get his Masters in Technical Direction. Lucas has worked as a carpenter on many shows, such as Stupid F**king Bird and Legally Blonde, as well as being an Assistant Technical Director for Twelfth Night: The Musical. He is also the Technical Director for their TYA show of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Outside of theatre, Lucas enjoys writing and collecting an assortment of items from pop culture and beyond. This will be his first time with Crane River Theater, in addition to his first summer stock position, and he looks forward to the upcoming season.
