Mallory Wintz is back at Crane River! You may remember her from past seasons in Shrek the Musical (Fiona), SpongeBob the Musical (Karen), or The Odd Couple (Gwendolyn). Originally from Florida, she went on to Troy University, where she majored in Theatre. While studying there, she was named a Musical Theatre Finalist at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Mallory was also a part of the inaugural Theatre Troupe at the DAP Festival in Italy, where she got to study theatre and dance. After her time at Troy University, she went on to the University of Alabama to earn her Master of Fine Arts in Acting. Since graduating in 2022, Mallory has worked with many theatre companies – Crane River Theater, RWS Entertainment, Roxy Regional Theatre, TheatreJax, and more. Some of her favorite credits from that time include Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena), Rocky Horror Picture Show (Janet), Bright Star (Alice Murphy), and Hamlet (Ophelia). Just recently, Mallory directed an adaptation of Antigone at LaVilla School of the Arts as their first Artist in Residence this past Spring. She is incredibly grateful to return to Crane River this summer for The Little Mermaid (Aquata/Ensemble) and Legally Blonde (Elle Woods)! Mallory thinks this season is going to be just like past ones, except for funner!
