A Kearney native, Matthew Carter is excited to return to the stage with Crane River Theater once again! Matthew recently graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a degree in vocal performance. Previously, he has been on stage as Flick in Violet (UNL Musical Theatre), Warren in Ordinary Days (UNL Musical Theatre), Daniel Beauxhomme in Once on this Island (Snap! Productions), Princeton in Avenue Q (Nebraska Repertory Theatre), King Triton in The Little Mermaid (Crane River Theater), and Raymond Deagan in Far From Heaven (UNL Opera). At UNL, Matthew was a very active student, placing first in the Upper Class Musical Theatre Men’s category and second in the Junior Men’s Classical category at the 2018 Regional NATS Competition, as well as receiving the Singer of the Year award at the same competition. Matthew would like to thank his friends and family for the endless love and support!
