Matthew is a freelance scenic designer, based in Cincinnati, Ohio and is proud to be making his Crane River Theater debut. Currently, he is a second year Stage Design graduate student at the University of Cincinnati – College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). His design credits include Superior Donuts (Omaha Community Playhouse), Idomeneo, A Chorus Line and Lysistrata Jones (CCM). He has worked as an assistant to several designers on productions of 42nd Street, Fiddler on the Roof (MUNY, St. Louis), American Idiot (CCM), Ivy and Bean: the Musical (Omaha Theatre Company), and Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse (Omaha Theatre Company National Tour). Matthew lived in Nebraska while attending Creighton University (BFA 2015) during which he served as properties master for the 2014 and 2015 seasons of Nebraska Shakespeare on the Green and scenic designer for the regional high school premiere of Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Marian High School). He is the 2015 Omaha Theatre Arts Guild award winner for Outstanding Scenic Design for Cabaret (Creighton University). His other summer design credits include Mary Poppins (Timber Lake Playhouse) and Peter and the Starcatcher (Weathervane Playhouse). Upcoming projects include Madagascar – A Musical Adventure (Omaha Theatre Company), Candide, and Love and Information (CCM).
