Orginially from Litchfield, Minnesota, Mitchell is currently a sophomore at Minnesota State – Mankato and a candidate for the BFA Musical Theatre program. He started his theatrical journey as a Lollipop Guild Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz when he was just thirteen years old. He made his MSU Theatre debut as 4th Officer Boxhall in Titanic, and has had roles in the ensemble of A Christmas Story: The Musical, as a guard in Antigone and as Neleus in Mary Poppins. Most recently he was Mereb in Aida, Simon Bright in The Game’s Afoot, Noah ‘Horse’ T. Simmons in The Full Monty and Gadshill, Mobray, Bishop of Ely in The Two Henrys.  At the 2017 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region V competition, he was selected for participation in the Dance Intensive Showcase and was also an Irene Ryan finalist as a partner to Jessica Staples. Mitchell also appeared in Zeussical at Olympus, the 2016 Minnesota State Mankato children’s theatre tour, and was one of the Wickershams in Seussical for the 2016 Highland Summer Theatre season.
