Rebekah Petersen (she/her) is a professional performer and choreographer based in New York City and is very excited to be a part of Crane River Theater’s production. A graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Rebekah’s journey in the arts began with a passion for storytelling through movement. In her studies, she was given the opportunity to create and produce pieces heavily rooted in modern dance techniques, many of which were choreographed with her sister Hannah Petersen. As a duo, the Petersen Sisters have been busy collaborating with Crane River Theater on shows like Beauty and the Beast, Shrek the Musical, and Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, as well as creating original pieces, like officeSpace. The duo also have extensive background in tap, jazz, hip hop, and modern dance, which has come in handy with the wide variety of shows they’ve come across. Today, Rebekah continues to push boundaries and inspire audiences with her captivating work, proving that dance is a universal language that transcends borders and connects us all. @bekahmae__
