Hailing from Durham, North Carolina, Sophie graduated from Jordan High School and is currently doing her undergrad at East Carolina University. Having always been the creative type, Sophie took up scenic painting as a freshman in high school. She came to ECU with intentions of continuing with scenic design, but fell in love with the complexity of carpentry. This is Sophie’s first non-educational working experience, but she has held positions on many productions within her program such as: Master carpenter for Legally Blonde, Carpenter for Sweeney Todd, Master Carpenter for Once Upon a Dance, and many more! When she’s not in the shop, Sophie enjoys indoor volleyball, grass volleyball, rock climbing, and drawing. Sophie is super excited to have the opportunity to grow and learn at Crane River Theater!
