A farmer boy from outside of Kearney, Steve spent much of his youth living in Kearney before growing up and graduating from Amherst High School in 2018. Although it took him until high school to start acting, he has always been drawn to the stage. Steve performed as the antagonists during his high school performances in Good Good Trouble on Bad Bad Island as The Idol and Jason in Medea. Since graduating, he has spent the last three years going to college at UNK with the intension of graduating in May of 2023 with a Musical Theatre Comprehensive Degree and an additional Theatre Degree with a Music Minor. Since starting college, Steve has performed in Orphan Train, Ghost Sonata, I Love You Because, and Life is a Dream. He has also assisted with She Kills Monsters, and has performed in a few one acts. While Steve enjoys the small roles, he can’t resist the opportunities for larger roles. Kearney Community Theatre has given him those opportunities as Laurie in Little Women and Billy in On Golden Pond. Steve is an optimistic realist who dreams big of one day acting in and directing movies. For the time being, he focuses on his studies and works as a server at Angus Burgers and Shakes, slowly accruing knowledge and skill to use on stage whenever he can. Whenever Steve has downtime, he enjoys studying movies, hanging out with friends, going on long drives, and occasionally cooking. While Annie was Steven’s first Crane River Theater show, he is excited to be returning to perform in Cinderella.
