Sister Aloysius Beauvier
 

Virginia is delighted to have the opportunity to play Sister Aloysius in the Pulitzer Prize winning play Doubt this summer. She came to Nebraska in 2000 to teach acting and directing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and says it has been a grand ride. Though Virginia has been in the Actors’ Equity Association since 1985, her most recent roles have been for Nebraska Repertory Theatre in Act a Lady, Humble Boy, Dinner with Friends, and Wit. Most recently, she just closed in a production with University Theatre playing Scottie in This Random World. Virginia has also served as the Artistic Director for the Nebraska Repertory Theatre for a decade. Her Rep directing credits include Circle Mirror Transformation, Making God Laugh, God of Carnage, Church Basement Ladies, Vino Veritas, Santaland Diaries, Souvenir: A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins, Metamorphoses, Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol, Omnium Gatherum, Crimes of the Heart and Dinnertime which was performed at the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Theatre Festival in New York City and in Krakow, Poland. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Directing program at UNL.
