Becky is pleased to return to CRT this summer after directing Footloose and playing Glory in Almost Maine during the 2014 season. She is a producer, director, actor, teaching artist, playwright, and lyricist, with current works in production and revision, including two new musicals with composer David von Kampen, Puddin’ and the Grumble and Catherland. She is frequently commissioned for new work and her one-woman show Snowcatcher will be featured at the Lied Center for Performing Arts in October 2018. Becky is a producer and director for the ASCAP Grow A Show New Musical Theatre Workshop, which pairs writing teams with Broadway experts for feedback. She is the former Executive Director of the Angels Theatre Company, former Executive Artistic Director of Flatwater Shakespeare Company, and is the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at BLIXT, an arts agency that improves lives through the development of new theatrical works, community action plans, innovative arts curriculum, and arts education and advocacy initiatives at the local, regional, and national level. Becky has been honored as a “Playwright of Merit,” by the Nebraska Arts Council, is a three-time Mayor’s Arts Award recipient in her hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska, is an NEA award winner, and was a 2017 finalist for the Richard Rodgers Award, an honor bestowed by the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She is a member of ASCAP and of the Dramatists’ Guild of America.
