Katherine Stepanek is a scenic and lighting designer hailing from Kansas City, MO. She currently holds the position of Assistant Professor of Scenic and Lighting Design at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO. Katherine earned her MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Tennessee, and her BFA in Lighting Design from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University. Throughout her career, Katherine has designed for numerous notable productions, including Million Dollar Quartet (the Clarice Brown Theatre in Knoxville, TN), The Hobbit (Lexington Children’s Theatre in Lexington, KY), Miracle on 34th Street (Crane River Theatre in Kearney, NE), and Frankenstein (Shawnee Playhouse in Bloomfield, IN). In addition to her work in the theatre, Katherine has worked for the art department of Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War.
